The Omorefe Family relocated to Ghana from South Dakota in January 2010. God had given them the vision to build City of Refuge Ministries and rescue children from Lake Volta who had been sold into slavery. By the grace of God, City of Refuge Ministries has grown into more than they could have ever imagined. It is their dream to continue fighting to keep families together by empowering single mothers, restoring children who have been rescued from child slavery, providing higher education opportunities to the youth, and loving the communities around them with the Love of Jesus Christ.
