Together we can make a difference!

City of Refuge Ministries has worked with the small, remote village of Hausa Kope since 2012. This village has little access to many things that we take for granted each and every day--including access to electricity and a quality education for their children. Until just last year, they didn't even have access to clean drinking water, leading to many parasitic infections over the course of the years. However, City of Refuge Ministries partnered with the community to make the drilling of a well possible in their community.

This year, we are wanting to help provide a very needed service to this community--access to quality education. While the government built a school facility years ago, it has been left uncared for and with no teacher for the numerous children that live in the village. This lack of education has closed a lot of doors for many children as the opportunities for work or trade in the area are very limited. This has lead to the overuse of children in the common labor trade of the area--fishing on Lake Volta.

We are trying to raise $25,000 to go towards the renovation of the school building in Hausa Kope. This would not only provide an excellent location for students to begin attending school, but we will be helping to provide adequate training and support for teachers stationed in Hausa Kope so that all children in the village have access to something that could change their future--an education.

You are part of making this happen! Would you be willing to make a donation towards our goal? Our hope is to put these monies to work in early next year and to get this school up and working so that all students in this village will have opportunities beyond what anyone in their family has previously explored. We can't wait to open the doors of this school and welcome in all the children that represent the future of Ghana, the potential, the possibility, the dreams, and the visions.
